At first glance, Leogang is inferior to Saalbach and Hinterglemm in all respects and at second glance it actually does. The village is 200 meters lower, the connection to the Skicircus is located slightly outside the village and you also do not stroll through shopping streets with famous brands in Leogang.

• Advantages of Leogang

If you look closer, you will discover a series of advantages of Leogang: the village is authentic and has a rich history, but definitely lacks the vibe that neighbors Saalbach and Hinterglemm have. There are several four and three star hotels, also near the elevator, in addition to numerous cheaper guesthouses. Moreover, you can enjoy the peace and quiet against the beautiful backdrop of the Leoganger Steinberge.

For skiers who want to escape the over-developed ski villages, but still want to use the modern elevators, Leogang is an ideal area. The ski elevators are located on a 'side branch' of the Skicircus with a beautiful wide valley slope, really one of those slopes that you enjoy skiing four times in a row. Leogang is also known for its relatively low prices compared to the other villages in the Skicircus and is easy to reach.
