Oahu is called the “Heart of Hawaii” as it is the island where everything happens. Oahu is home to the capital of Hawaii, Honolulu (and the famous Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head volcano).

nature is simply fantastic, with lots of greenery, lots of beaches with turquoise blue water, this is where the North Shore is located and the famous surf beaches Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay. In the historic town of Haleiwa, you will find many mountains and a great infrastructure with many shops, hotels, nightlife and good restaurants.

Pearl Harbor is also on Oahu, an American naval base attacked by the Japanese in World War II.

The beaches are the main attraction of the island of Oahu. In winter, from November to April, the sea has bigger waves, and in summer, from May to October, the waves are calmer and with a turquoise blue hue. That is, there are beautiful beaches to visit throughout the year.

How to get to Oahu

There are flights from several US cities and even Canada to Honolulu (HNL). But the most common way is to go from Los Angeles, as it is closer (5 hours of flight). The airlines that operate the segment are American, United, Delta and Hawaiian Airlines

The beaches and other attractions are well spread out and the distances are reasonable (generally your trips will take from 40 minutes to 1 hour).

For those who don't want to drive, there are taxis, Uber and Lyft in Hawaii. Obviously, you won't have the same freedom as having a rented car, but you can also enjoy it that way.

Where to stay on Oahu

Four Seasons Oahu

It is very well located in Ko Olina, on the west coast, with easy access to all parts of the island. The hotel has spacious rooms, excellent service, a great infrastructure with 4 pools and several restaurants and a beach with very calm and blue water. By the way, it also has a 2nd tiny beach (Secret Beach), which is ideal for snorkeling.

The rooms are very spacious and the service is excellent. Four Seasons never fails. Ideal option for those traveling as a family with children or as a couple.

Ko Olina is a huge residential and hotel area. In addition to this lagoon-style beach that serves the Four Seasons, there are 3 other similar lagoons that you can frequent.

Halekulani – the most charming in the area.

The Royal Hawaiian Luxury Collection – Marriott – the famous pink hotel.

Moana Surfrider Westin – historic hotel with over 100 years old.

Hilton Hawaiian Village – has a nice view and a very beautiful lagoon in the hotel area.

Where to eat on Oahu

Mina's Fish House - Four Seasons Oahu

It is one of the restaurants at the Four Seasons Oahu hotel.

It has a relaxed look and feel. It's right on the edge of the beach, between the sea and the pool. The atmosphere is very “typical Hawaiian”, with torches, straw chandeliers and the food is also local, with a specialty in fish and seafood.

Open daily for happy hour and dinner. Lunch only on Saturdays and Sundays. Non-guests are welcome, subject to reservation.

Duke's Waikiki – Honolulu

A traditional Hawaiian take on the Outback.

Very American, but with typical Hawaiian dishes. On the menu you will find pokes, crab cakes, fresh fish, chicken accompanied by pineapple, among other more traditional things.

This place is very popular, so it tends to fill up quickly, so allow some time for the wait or arrive early. You can go sit and eat, or just hang out at the bar. It is right on Waikiki beach, that is, great for enjoying the beach or strolling around the area, and then having lunch or dinner. And you can enjoy the sunset on the beach.

MW Restaurant - Honolulu

For those looking for a more elegant restaurant, for a more special lunch or dinner, the MW Restaurant can be a good option. It's in the Ala Moana area, next to the biggest mall in Hawaii. Traditional Hawaiian cuisine with creative touches.

Don't miss the opportunity to visit this beautiful place, don't know how to go? Don't worry, go to bitbook.net and easily book all you'll need to get there and have a great time.
