Between rocky mountains of the Dinaric Alps, waterfalls, beaches and rivers, Bosnia and Herzegovina has landscapes that surprise any look.

The territory that today forms Bosnia and Herzegovina has a history marked by conflicts. The place has already been taken over by different peoples: Serbs, Croats, Hungarians, Venetians, Byzantines and the Ottoman Empire. Each of them left cultural, religious and gastronomic heritage that made Bosnia a multicultural country.

In 1914, it happened in Sarajevo, the capital of the country, the trigger of the First World War. During this period Bosnia was annexed to Serbia and, after World War II, the territory became part of Yugoslavia. In 1991, after the end of communist rule and the dissolution of Yugoslavia, Bosnia became an independent multinational republic.
