Beşköprü

Beşköprü, also known by its other name, Justinianus Bridge, which is one of the historical buildings of Sakarya, is located in the Beşköprü locality of Serdivan district. Beşköprü, which is also one of the symbolic structures of Sakarya, is more commonly referred to as Beşköprü due to its location. The bridge, which was built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian between 558 and 560 A.D., has survived to the present day and has managed to preserve its historical texture. The bridge, which is located on the Çark Stream, which empties the waters of Sapanca Lake into the Sakarya River, is 365 long and has 12 arches. The bridge was opened to vehicular traffic in 1995, was repaired in the same year and later closed to vehicular traffic.

Çark Caddesi
