Red Sea
The Red Sea is a place to go to relax and meet the sea in Egypt. A great place for diving, swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling, the Red Sea is rich in marine life. Sea creatures you can see in the Red Sea include sharks, corals, dolphins, colorful reef fish, stingrays and turtles.
Abu Simbel
Abu Simbel, located close to Aswan, is where the temple of Ramses II is located. This city is fascinating with its living quarters carved into huge rocks, well-preserved 3400-year-old colorful hieroglyphs and more.
Giza
Giza is located on the outskirts of Cairo and is the most visited place in Egypt. The history of the Pyramids of Giza dates back to 2560 BC. The Pyramids of Giza is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The dimensions of the pyramids are incredibly large.
All mummies and artifacts formerly found inside the pyramids are now in the Egyptian museum. While the entrance to the Pyramid of Menkaure is free, an extra fee is required to enter the other two pyramids. The inside of each pyramid is more or less the same, and be sure to see the pyramids from the outside, much more magnificent.
There are camel rides at the best spots of the region. You can ride a camel for an amazing experience and take great photos. To the south of the Cheops pyramid is the Great Sphinx, the most famous creature of Egyptian mythology, with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh. This Sphinx is believed to be the guardian of the pyramids.
Cairo
Cairo, as it is known, is the capital of Egypt. With a population of more than 20 million people, the city is Africa's largest capital. Many cultures, nations, and Middle Eastern and African traditions have come together in Cairo. Ibn Tulun Mosque and Muhammed Ali Mosque are definitely worth seeing. After your visit to the Mohammed Ali Mosque, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of Cairo from the Salah al-Din Fortress.
Impressive ancient artifacts can be seen up close in the Egyptian Museum. The structural condition of the museum is not very good, a new Egyptian Museum is being built, which is planned to be completed this year.
Aswan
Aswan is located in the south of Egypt. To reach Aswan, you can choose a domestic horse flight or a train journey from Cairo. Located on the banks of the Nile River, the city is the home of the Nubians living in the southern part of Egypt. There are unfinished obelisks in the city. The obelisk, which was planned to be the largest obelisk in the world and 42 meters high, was abandoned before it was built.
